By accessing, purchasing, or using any HP HomeProtectionWorks product, service, mobile application, or website (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Services. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Services.

2. Description of Services

HP HomeProtectionWorks provides smart home security hardware, software, professional monitoring, and related services. Our Services include but are not limited to: video surveillance systems, smart locks, entry sensors, motion detectors, glass-break sensors, cellular backup connectivity, mobile app control, and 24/7 professional monitoring.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use our Services. By registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Permitted Use

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:

• Use the Services to monitor individuals without their legal consent
• Tamper with, reverse engineer, or attempt to hack any hardware or software
• Share, resell, or sublicense access to the Services without written permission
• Use the Services in any way that violates local, state, federal, or international law
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services

5. Equipment Ownership and Installation

When you purchase equipment from HP HomeProtectionWorks, you own the physical hardware. Professional installation is recommended and may be included with certain plans. Self-installation is permitted but may affect warranty coverage. You are responsible for maintaining your equipment in good working condition and replacing batteries as recommended.

6. Monitoring Services

Our professional monitoring centers operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. However, HP HomeProtectionWorks is not an insurer and does not guarantee that our monitoring services will prevent any loss, damage, or injury. Monitoring services depend on cellular networks, internet connectivity, and power availability, which are beyond our control.

7. Billing, Subscriptions, and Cancellation

Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. All plans are month-to-month unless otherwise specified. You may cancel your subscription at any time without penalty. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds are not provided for partial months. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HP HomeProtectionWorks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. System Maintenance

You agree to test your security system every three (3) months to ensure all sensors, cameras, and communication links are functioning properly. Backup batteries should be replaced every four (4) years to maintain protection during extended power outages. Failure to perform regular maintenance may void warranty coverage.

10. Force Majeure

HP HomeProtectionWorks shall not be held responsible for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, terrorism, power outages, internet or cellular network failures, or government actions.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the mobile app at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Travis County, Texas.

Our employees, contractors, and partners cannot view your camera feeds at any time. Only you can access your video through the mobile app using your secure credentials. We do not have backdoor access to your cameras.
